FOR - give or get

I am sure that, at more than one time in our lives, we all have been exposed to some sort of punishments for our bad memory. It may be a simple scold from our parents or mentors, fight with our beloved ones, delayed schedules or unnecessary chaos that disturb our inner self. We wish for a computer memory during interviews and exams whereas we also wish to be a memory loss patient when think of betrayals and insults. God would have predicted our quavery mind and so gave us partial memory.
Its very easy to make this statement - "Remember what is good and forget the rest". But how do we do that? Go to a psychiatrist? Of course not. I believe, in order to forget an incident, we should actually learn to forgive the causative person.
Want to forget a dispute with family members or friends? Analyse the dispute with peace of mind and be sure of who was unfair. If it was the other person, start forgiving them, not for their wellness, but for our inner peace. If it was us who was unfair, then lets forgive ourselves and if it is necessary, apologize. And trust me, the satisfaction of being forgiven is blissful.
Want to forget betrayals and insults? A special courage is necessary for us to think back our bitter memories to make a decision. For sure, it would have made us change to a strong and matured person. I think betrayals and insults should be remembered by us at times to ignite the inner spark. If we tend to forget those, the stronger version us will slowly fade away.
Let's not decide to forget all that had made you cry. Remember, without those dark days, the stronger version of us wouldn't have faced the world.
